Jorj's Hands On Glam Kitchen
Berries work wonders for the anatomy and function of your hands. Tending your own berry garden or going berry picking (strawberry fields dot the south and blueberries love the Northeast) keeps you busy and blissful. You'll burn calories, take in bone-loving Vitamin D under the sun (with a slather of sun screen of course), and work the muscles in your hands for beneficial, and later on, delicious results. This section espouses more than just reminders about strawberries, blackberries, raspberries and leafy greens being good for you; we dish here on their seasons, planting tips, and making fruit preserves. Disclaimer: a total return to wartime Victory Gardens is not what we're pluggin' here (though it'd sure be nice). We know how busy you are and that for a lot of us, going to the grocery store every few days for fresh fruit & veggies is good enough - it has to be. We just want to remind you that hand friendly foods are all about fresh fruit and veggies, and, at the very least, encourage you to use your leftovers in the form of sweet breads, smoothies and grape jam on toast…raisin toast if it's possible!
